The Shenango Institute is a non-partisan, non-profit public policy research institute.  None of our resources are used for political campaigns or are given to candidates or political parties.  We will neither endorse nor oppose cadidates for public office or proposed legislation at any level.  Our primary mission is to research and write about issues facing local governments in Butler, Lawrence, Mercer and Venango counties.

Our objective is to focus on education, the delivery of governmental services, and tax policy.

We are registered as a non-profit corporation in the commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and have been granted 501(c)3 status by the Internal Revenue Service, which makes us tax-exempt, tax-deductible organization.
